Gorgeous and highly detailed Art Nouveau or Victorian 10K gold ring with marbled blue stone, circa 1910. Gold color is softer (slightly pinker) than yellow gold; I would call it a light rose gold. Central blue cabochon stone is probably an agate, and has marbled coloring and a special high dome cut that slopes down to the sides. The surrounding frame is raised slightly off the finger, and has crisp engraved scroll detailing. The shoulder design exhibits a buckle motif with the gold design splitting and terminating in scrolls next to the frame. The shank is in good shape and fairly thick with only slight wear at the back. Ring is marked: OB with 10K between the OB, probably for Ostby & Barton (American company from Providence, RI). The ring size is 4, and can be sized up. This is a high quality piece in excellent condition.
