Fine pair of Mexican silver fish screwback earrings with bubbles, probably circa 1940s or 1950s. The hollow design is repousse (stamped from behind) and backed by a Sterling plate, similar to art nouveau jewelry from the 1910s. They measure about 13/16" x 1". The earrings are worn as shown in the photo (and are pictured on the ear in one of the additional photos). They remind me of a design by Margot de Taxco, but the maker of these earrings in unknown. The earrings are simply marked Mexico Silver with no eagle stamp. They are well made, and in very good condition.
